Great Danes Needing Homes

Gabby

Meet Gabby, who had just turned 8 years old and was looking for a home.

Gabby had a full health check at the vets and she was pronounced "fit as a flea". This darling spayed girl had a bad time since her mum died 14 months ago. She had been pushed from pillar to post and landed up in poor condition in 4 different homes, until a wonderful woman took her on. Unfortunately for Gabby, her new mum had to undergo spinal surgery and was unable to keep her.

Daneline was contacted and Gabby made a 400 mile journey south to her foster home. Gabby took the whole event in her stride! The people who helped with her move all said the same thing, "Gabby has such a happy and peaceful aura about her”. On her arrival Gabby had a wander around, a pee and then spotted a ball which she took out in the garden to play with. After she had had a walk and later fed, she then found her foster mum and dad's bed! And that ended her first day with us.

Even though it's quite cold here at the moment, we are up to 3 nice little walks a day and she loves it. When she gets home she loves to check on her ball and other toys to make sure they are still there, and then have a quick play before giving some serious thought to a quick forty winks. Mum said she is really impressed at how good she is when out walking on her lead, so we have started sneaking out for extra little walks when Dad is at work.

Whenever Gabby is out, people are always telling her Mum or Dad how lovely and gentle she is.

Gabby needs to shed a bit of weight and loves her walks by the beach each day.
